What Yoga in Schools Looks Like
Yoga in schools is simply a specialist coming to you. Laura visits your school hall or classroom and leads story-led yoga and mindfulness sessions designed for primary-age children — movement, breathing and a short relaxation, adapted for EYFS, KS1 and KS2. Mats, props and resources are all provided; the school just provides the children and a clear floor.
Whether you're a PE coordinator broadening physical activity, a SENCO looking for regulation tools, or a headteacher planning a wellbeing day, there's a format below that fits your timetable and budget.

Yoga in Schools — FAQs
How much does yoga in schools cost?+
Pricing depends on the format — a one-off workshop day, a weekly term programme, or PPA cover. Many primary schools fund sessions through their PE and Sport Premium, which can be spent on visiting specialists who broaden the range of physical activity on offer. Get in touch for a quote for your school.
What does the school need to provide?+
Just a clear floor space — a hall, studio, library corner or pushed-back classroom all work. Alori brings the mats, props, story resources and visual cards for every session.
How does yoga link to the curriculum?+
Sessions map to PE (balance, coordination, flexibility), PSHE (emotional regulation, friendship, resilience) and EYFS areas of learning including Physical Development and Personal, Social & Emotional Development. Teachers receive a short outline of what each block covers.
Can you run sessions for Children's Mental Health Week or Healthy Living Week?+
Yes — themed wellbeing workshop days are one of the most popular ways schools first try yoga. A whole year group or the whole school can take part across a single day, with every class getting a taster session.
Which areas do you cover?+
Alori Yoga is based in Shirley, Solihull and visits schools across Solihull, Shirley, Redditch and the wider West Midlands.
How do we get started?+
Send an enquiry with rough year groups and timings. We'll arrange a free chat (or a staff-meeting taster), then agree a format — most schools start with a workshop day or a half-term block and grow from there.
Schools We Visit
Alori Yoga visits primary schools across the West Midlands. If your school is in one of these areas, see your local page — or use the contact form for anywhere else in the region.
